Our Volunteer Policy

An important sentiment that DESH brings to the forefront is the ‘passion to lead the social mission’, a sentiment that we demand from our volunteers. We appreciate and look for high standards of efficiency, reliability and quality in your volunteering.

You will be required to work in partnership with other volunteers, staff and the general public, across a wide social spectrum. It is important to support, respect and adhere to our organizational policies, guidelines and management decisions – including all aspects of equal opportunities, health and safety, data protection and use of our brand.

As law abiding citizens, we expect you to always act within the realms of law.

DESH offers equal opportunities to everyone who wants to volunteer based solely on the skill set and project requirements. We match your skills and experiences with the right role for you wherever possible, listening to your motivations and aspirations.

Be a DESHwasi

By Volunteering you are not only helping the foundation but playing a pivotal role in contributing back to the society via our medium of getting engaged in various noble social cause. Being a DESHwasi its not only a service but a responsibility that you are fulfilling towards the society and hence being a part of the larger picture for society development and upliftment. Who is a DESHwasi? A DESHwasi represents DESH foundation before the public and should be instilled with a spirit of benevolence and social service. They act as the first point of contact for an outsider.

A DESHwasi ensures that he leaves a lasting impression about themselves and the organization. Hence they should have the characteristics of leadership and must possessive excessive passion for reaching out to the needy and the deprived in the best possible way they can. They should also be able to dedicate some of their precious time for the noble causes to help strengthen the image of DESH and hence endorse its overall mission. A DESHwasi should be able to generate greater acceptance of the organizations philosophy among the public and also help in resource utilization and be able to attract groups or people who can help in this mission.
